The first self-titled effort under the moniker Jessie James arrived in August 2009. Jessie James enjoyed a modest number of hits and Wanted was able to reach the Top 40 on the Singles Charts. Decker was always a Country artist, however the album produced and promoted to a broader audience. The music of Decker came under more review after the release 2 singles. The second single, Boys in the Summer was a country-inspired track. Decker had another album, dubbed Sweet American Dreams or Daughter of a Gypsy and it was released, however Mercury shelved it after both of the singles did not chart. Decker then was let out of her contract.
