April Lockhart
April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She started the guitar and piano lessons in seventh grade. This sparked the interest of her. April Lockhart penned her first song"Different" when she was 12 years old. She spent lots of time when she was 14 composing songs and experimenting with music. After a while, she began traveling with her father and write in NY as well as LA. April also began to include other related topics for some of her friends dealing with issues such as bullying by peers and teenage suicide as depicted in the song"Take" my Hand. Lockhart is a beauty and lifestyle influencer with an ever-growing fan base. She collaborates with the renowned brand Ilia with whom she has a partnership as well as being an expert in the field of lifestyle. As a woman born with no left hand, Lockhart is a major part of herself. It's however not the entire tale. Lockhart's profile on Twitter doesn't conceal her being disabled, but neither does it make a point of it. The message is? It's this that we all share many identities, we're far more complicated than we believe we're. Lockhart states in the video Lockhart via video "I don't think that is what defines my character. I don't intend to have an impact on disability because I have many more things to contribute." My day-today life is not affected by it. I lead a normal, everyday life and find my own solutions to problems. It's an integral part of my life, so it is important to discuss it. Lockhart is a great example of how to stay going with self-acceptance. Still, she admits that she went through a series of phases in her body, and felt uneasy in some instances to wear clothes that showed the arms of her. She can wear whatever she wants, and she happily shares pictures of her wearing these clothes. One of the keys to self-love for her is the fact that it's not a place to go. However, I believe that's the case for everyone, whatever they are struggling with. It's important to be around individuals who truly see you.
