Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson is an American actor who became famous as the character Buffy Summers in the cult Buffy the vampire Slayer Becky Granger in the telefilm Nightingales and also the brief-lived NBC show with the identical nameErica Paget in the CBS Drama Early Edition and Marlowe Viccellio in Psych. Born in California, she began her interest in acting when she was a young child. Her career began in commercials, in which she starred in a variety of commercials. She appeared in an episode on the sitcom of NBC, It's Your Move, in 1984. In the romance comedy Pretty in Pink, Swan made her debut on the big screen. She is best known for her blonde hair and the breathless voice she uses. Since then she has moved on to playing secondary characters. She won an award called the Young Artist Award in 1989 as the best Young Actress in Horror or the Mystery Motion Picture in the film Flowers in the Attic.
