Jenna Fischer's most famous role was as Pam Beesly from the popular TV show The Office. To honor the significance of her work, she was awarded an Emmy award for Outstanding Actress in the Supporting Role. In addition, she won the award for two SAG Awards.
She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, however, she grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. Jenna was impressed by her mother's church performances as she began her career.
After wrapping up The Office, Fischer, who is a trained actress in the theater, went back to her home base. She was a part of Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway production Reasons for Being Happy. The Old Globe Theatre's premiere, she starred alongside Greg Germann as well as Josh Stamberg in Steve Martin's comical comedy Meteor Shower.
In October 2019, Fischer and The Office co-star and best friend in real life Angela Kinsey started a podcast called Office Ladies on the Earwolf platform. It has grown to become wildly popular, landing within the Top Ten globally every week and gaining over 200 million downloads over its initial two years. Office Ladies, which was launched in October 2019 it was nominated for iHeartRadio's Podcast of the Month award for January 2021.
She is the author of two books. The Actor's Life and a Survival Guide In it, she details her journey from St. Louis to Hollywood in order to be a professional actor. She is also the author of Office BFF's: Tales of The Office from Two Best Friends Who Were There (co-authored with Angela Kinsey) The book is an account of their most memorable friendship and time working for The Office.
